The New Way to Refer to Liberals

Liberals, Liberals, Liberals. You can't call them liberals. They do not want to be called Liberals. Most of them will not identify themselves as liberals. They will say - "I'm a Democrat." They will say - "Why do we have to label people". Most of the time they say, "I'm not a Liberal, I'm Progressive." I've been meaning to contact either Mark Simone or Matt Drudge with my "New Way to Refer to Liberals". It is a conglomeration of two ideas that they have put forward. Simone has been calling them "Neo-Libs" (mainly refering to the nut jobs and move-on dot org types), taking a cue from "neo-Cons", so called by the left to diminish Conservatives. Drudge has posited that the powers that be assign tags that are repulsive to diminish the credibility of any movement - ie. BLOGS - sounds like you are heaving. Well, two can play at this game. And I think you will agree that my concoction is actually apropos. The liberals don't want to be called LIBERAL, they want to be called PROGRESSIVE. We should give them what they want, we aim to please, except not the way they want it. The Clintons (oh my gosh he mentioned that guy, he must be a true neo-Con) portrayed themselves as "New Democrats". They created the Democratic Leadership Councils to put forward their "New Way" as "New Democrats". Most of their support comes from the Hollywood types, dot com millionaires, currency manipulators, wealthy widows, etc. The common denominator of all of these people is their status as Newly Rich. But everyone knows that the pejorative for the Newly Rich who act boorish and brash in Nouveau Riche. The fact that it is a French phrase is also fitting. My proposal is to combine these two, (as a tip of the hat to the Neo-Cons) and thus we have the new terminology for today's liberals.
Nouveau-Progs

Think how great this is???? It does sound like you are about to heave. This allows us now to put Cindy Sheehan into the Wacko-Prog corner on every issue. Hillary can be a Nouveau-Prog on Social Security and a Wacko-Prog on Iraq (the direction she is moving and will be shortly, thank you Ned Flanders, I mean Ned Lamont). Wouldn't you love to see Tony Blankley and Pat Buchanan arguing whether someone is a Nouveau-Prog or a Wacko-Prog??? Please pick this up and run with it.

Introduction

Welcome to my blog. I am a Son of Reagan and will frame my discussion around a Reaganesque view of Conservatism that will guide my commentary. I know there are thousands and thousands of Sons of Reagan out there and I would like to differentiate between certain types. I'm not speaking of people who were in position's of power of subordinate positions at the time Reagan was in power, ie. the Bill Kristol's or Bill Bennetts. I'm speaking of average joe's like me who's first Presidential vote was for Reagan and who long for a Conservative leader who actually acts like a Conservative. Please hit me with your comments, dittos, affronts, etc. Stayed tuned, I do believe I have a very different perspective and may cause you to re-think or re-look at how things are going.
